Homer Electric Association, Inc., is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Superintendent of Distribution Dispatch Services in our Kenai office. This individual will work with our Nikiski Dispatch group to coordinate 24-hour communications coverage for the Homer Electric Association operations center. This position leads the Kenai Dispatch Center staff and is responsible for scheduling, training and direction of that staff in order to maintain coverage during regular and emergency operations. Responsibilities include: preparing switching orders, directing switching activities, providing crew direction, operating SCADA and other control monitoring services, coordinating personnel for power restoration operations, maintaining progress logs, and providing system data analysis and reports as required.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, or the completion of a nationally recognized apprenticeship program in the electric utility industry. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate ten years of utility system operations, maintenance and/or construction background. Experience in a system operator capacity is desired.
